Special features make the Ward Check Valve unique. A
patented spring-loaded plunger (A) positions an angled self-aligning disk (B)
for positive sealing. Totally encapsulated by Teflon®,
the elastomer disk flexes, thus ensuring a full line-contact seal.
Top Entry Design In-line maintenance is easy: remove
the threaded cap, examine the valve and, if the seal is damaged, replace
it without any special tools.
Slurry-Protected Spring The compression spring
can be protected from particles by an optional stainless spring sleeve.
Patented Sealing System The sealing plunger features
an angled elastomer disk totally encapsulated in Teflon®, which
protects the seal from the conveyed medium. This design produces positive
shut-off at both low and high back pressure.
Aesthetics High quality investment cast bodies make
the Ward Valve the best you can buy. The all-stainless body is glass-beaded
and passivated. Steel valves have black oxide
coating. All internal components are 316 stainless steel.
Multiple Material Options Material options include
Alloy-20, Monel, Hastelloy, carbon steels, and stainless steel.
Superior Flow Characteristics Angle-seat design
keeps fluids flowing with minimal obstruction. Independent laboratory data
confirm that the Ward valve has CV values equal or superior to competitive
check valves.
Surpassing Industry Standards ASME B16-34; 600
class wall thickness, for threaded, but-weld and socket-weld ends.
Flanged ends available in ASME 150 class.
Multi-Position Mounting Unlike most check valves,
the Ward valve can be mounted in any position. Hex pipe ends provide easy
installation.
End ConnectionsValves are stocked in threaded, butt-weld,
socket-weld, and flanged ends.
The Ward Check Valve has been rigorously tested at independent
laboratories (Alden Research Lab) in
programs that included a 15,000 cycle test after which there were no sign of
leakage (Test results are available
upon request.) These unique valves have been accepted by major CPI users
for applications including multi-process lines where check valve leakage
causes expensive product loss. Ward Valve' CV, cracking pressure, and pressure/temperature
ratings are equal or superior to competitive products, making this specialty
valve ideal for chemical applications. The Ward Check Valve has a maximum
temperature rating of 450º and a steam rating (saturated) of 150 W.S.P.
Available with flanged ends in 1" and 4" diameters or threaded, socket-welded
and butt-welded ends in 1/4" to 2" diameters, there is no more effective
or reliable check valve on the market today.
